Nothing much on this morning, the seas have calmed down considerably but still a bit of a swell. We had rain overnight and again at dinner tonight - a heavy downpour.
I attended a cocktail making demo this morning - got to taste 3 cocktails so a good start to the day! Lunch was served from the galley - a really nice idea and the food was amazing. We even had penguin (see pic below)!!! Getting ready for the Antarctic !!! Those that wanted to all filed through the galley to collect their lunch and then ate in the dining room. The galley was, as expected, spotless and the selection of food on offer excellent.
I didn't play mahjong, had an opportunity to catch up on some domestics and then got into my book. The crew show 'Krew Kapers' was on at 6 pm so we went to that and it was really fun, some good dancing and singing from crew from around the world. With 43 countries being represented on board the quality of dancing from the Phillipines, Indonesia, India etc was very good. And the Maitre D from Southern Italy sang the most beautiful version of New York New York.
So we went to the Italian restaurant, Sette Marie, for dinner. As expected, delicious.
Tonight's show in the theatre was as good as the best I've ever seen on a cruise ship. For most of this cruise the entertainment has been a bit disappointing and the dancers/singers who we see all the time in various capacities during the day have all seemed a bit 'bland' but tonight they gave the performance of their lives. The show was called 'World Beat' which showcased some of the greatest cultures from around the globe. This included New York, South Africa, China, etc and finished with Ireland and the the Irish song and dance. The costumes were amazing!
Tomorrow we're in Key West so will have to follow all the formalities arriving back in the US.
